The process

From one sentence to a finished book.

Five steps, all in one place, with you approving the important decisions along the way.

1. Tell the writer your idea

One sentence is enough to begin. The conversation then asks for the reader's age, the genre, the tone, the viewpoint, the language and the length you want. You can attach reference material — notes, a transcript, a family history — and it will be honoured.

  • No blank page
  • No settings to configure
  • Attachments supported

2. Approve the chapter plan

Before a single chapter is written you see the proposed title, subtitle and every chapter with a short summary and a word target. Nothing is generated, and no allowance is used, until you say the plan is right.

  • Full outline first
  • Change or restart freely
  • Allowance spent only on approval

3. Watch the book being written

Chapters are written in order, each one aware of what came before, so names, facts, timeline and voice stay consistent from first page to last. Progress is shown as it goes.

  • Chapter-by-chapter
  • Consistent characters and facts
  • Original prose throughout

4. Edit it in the workspace

Every chapter is editable. Rename chapters, search the manuscript, apply light formatting, and use rewrite, shorten or expand on any chapter that isn't landing. Your changes save as you type.

  • Full manuscript editor
  • Rewrite, shorten, expand
  • Saves automatically

5. Add a cover and download

Generate original cover artwork if you want one, then export a clean PDF or Markdown file. The book is yours — print it, share it, or publish it wherever you like.

  • Optional AI cover art
  • PDF and Markdown export
  • You own the work
