- Do I need a card to try it?
- No. The free trial needs no card and no sign-up. You can write, edit and read your book before deciding anything.
- Why are allowances counted in words?
- Because writing is charged by the amount of text produced. A 5,000-word book is genuinely cheaper to write than a 50,000-word one, so counting words is the honest way to price it.
- What happens when I reach my daily allowance?
- Writing pauses until the next day. Everything already written stays in your library, fully editable and exportable.
- Can I change or cancel a plan?
- Yes. Plans can be changed or cancelled at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Do I own the book?
- Completely. The text and any covers you generate are yours to publish, sell or keep private.
What generation actually costs
Writing
Writing is charged by the amount of text produced and read back. A short 5,000-word book is inexpensive; a 50,000-word manuscript is roughly ten times the work, because every chapter is written with the previous ones in mind. This is why allowances are measured in words rather than in books.
Cover artwork
Each cover is a separate image generation and costs meaningfully more than a chapter of prose. That is why covers are optional, and why trying three directions costs three times as much as accepting the first one.
Nothing is charged today. When paid plans open you will see the price before anything is generated.
