Privacy policy
A plain-English explanation of what BookForge stores and why. Last updated 15 September 2026.
What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address, display name, optional picture, sign-in information and usage totals. We store books, outlines, notes, covers and versions you choose to save. Contact forms store the details and message you submit.
How writing is processed
Your brief and relevant manuscript context are sent to AI services to plan, write, revise or illustrate the work you request. We use this content to provide the feature, not to claim ownership of your book. Avoid including confidential information you do not have permission to use.
Storage and visibility
Guest drafts remain in that browser. Account books are stored privately and access is limited to the account owner and authorised service operations. A book is not public unless you deliberately use a future sharing feature.
Deletion and your choices
You can delete individual books from your library. You can permanently delete your account and its owned writing from Account Settings. Operational backups and security records may take a limited period to expire.
